R: Lord, have mercy.

O God our Saviour, the true Light, Who was baptized in the river Jordan by John to renew

all men by the waters of regeneration, and Who condescended to enter under the roof of Zacchaeus to bring salvation to him and to all his house, keep safe also from all harm those who dwell here; grant them your blessing, purification and bodily health, and all their petitions for their salvation and life everlasting: For blessed are You, together with your eternal Father, and your all-holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and forever.

TROPAR Tone 1
Hail, virgin Mother of God, Who are full of grace, for Christ our God, Who is the Sun of Justice, has shone forth from you, enlightening those who were in darkness; and you too rejoice, O righteous Simeon, for you have received into your arms the Saviour of our souls, our Resurrection.

O Lord Jesus Christ, Who are the true Light that enightens every man who comes into the world, we humbly implore You, bestow your bless-ing upon these Candles and sanctify + them with the light of your grace. And just as the visible light of the candles dispells all darkness and ohadow, so let the invisible flame of the Holy Spirit which illuminates our hearts cast out the darkness of sin, so that with the eye of an enlightened soul we may see that which is pleas-ing to You and necessary for our salvation, and having triumphed over the dark afflictions of this world we may in the end attain light everlast-ing : For You are our Saviour, and we give glory to You, together with your eternal Father, and your all-holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and forever.
R: Amen.

And like those nations and children who cried to You: ‘Hosanna!’ may we likewise with hymn and spiritual song be made worthy of the life-giving resurrection through Christ Jesus, our Lord, with Whom You are blessed        together with your all-holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and forever.

You, and the lamb which Abel offered to
You in sacrifice; bless + and sanctify -j-
these meats, as You blessed and sanctified the
fattened-calf which You ordered to be slain for
your prodigal son, when he returned again to
You; so that just as he was considered worthy
to enjoy your goodness, so also may we who eat
of these meats, blessed and sanctified by You,
enjoy your goodness, and obtain your holy Cross
and resurrection from the dead on the third day:
For You are our true food and the Giver of all
good things which You yourself bless and

things; bless + this cheese and butter, these
eggs and all the other foods here present; and

of your gifts which You so readily bestow upon
us, we may be filled with your indescribable
goodness, for the sake of the glorious resurrec-
tion on the third day from the dead of our Lord
Jesus Christ: For yours is the kingdom and the
power, and the glory, of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and

O almighty, eternal God, by your word atone You created out of nothing the heavens, earth, sea, and all things visible and invisible. In your infinite goodness You ordained that these plants serve not’ only as food for the animals but also as medicine for the sick body. We beseech You, bless these dif-ferent plants and fruits and bestow upon them your blessing, and endow them with your power, so that they may serve man and animal alike as a defense against all sickness and all that is impure: For You are our God, and we give glory to You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever.

Grant that the faithful find in it a defense and refuge, a strength against all enemies, and a cure for all spiritual and physical infirmities.  Grant also the fulfillment of the prayers and supplications of all those who pray before it:

And as You blessed the staff of Aaron for dispelling of hostile unbelief and destruction of sorcerous illusion, bless + also this image of the Cross and may it serve as a shield against the wiles of Satan, and may it be for those who wear it, a protection and preservation from all harm of soul and body, and may it increase in them through your grace spiritual gifts and Christian virtues: For You are the One Who blesses and sanctifies all things, O Christ our God, and v/e give to You glory, thanksgiving, and worship with your eternal Father, and your all-holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and forever.

Almighty, everlasting God, you do not forbid us to represent your saints in stone or paint, so that, as often as we look upon their likeness with the eyes of the body, we may with the eyes of the mind meditate upon their holiness and be led to imitate their deeds. In your kindness, we beg you to bless + and sanctify + this statue (picture), meant to honor and call to mind your only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ (or the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, or Blessed N., your apostle, or martyr, or bishop, or confessor, or virgin). May all who in its presence humbly strive to serve and honor your only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ (or the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, or Blessed N., your apostle, or martyr, or bishop, or confessor, or virgin), by his (her) merits and intercession gain from You grace in the present life and eternal glory in the life to come. For You are our sanctification, and we give glory to You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now “and ever, and forever.

Therefore, 0 Master, pour now upon it your heavenly blessings; assign to it a guardian angel to preserve it against all evil. And as You have granted faith and grace by your deacon, Philip, to the man from Ethiopia who was sit-ting in his chariot and reading holy Scripture, show the way of salvation to your servants, so that, helped by your grace and always intent on doing good works, they may, after all the trials of their pilgrimage and life on earth, attain to everlasting joys, through the intercession of our Lady, the most holy and ever-Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, through the power of the honor-able and life-giving Cross; through the prayers of the holy Angels and of all the Saints: For You are the Provider and the Sanctifier of all things, and we give glory to You, and to your only-begotten Son, and to your all-holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and forever.  R: Amen.
